Panel discussion: What role does traditional media relations play in PR today?

I’ve been working in public relations for nearly 15 years now, managing a wide variety of issues, campaigns and projects reaching across both the public and private sector.

For the last 5 and half years I’ve been at Experian, the world’s largest credit data company. And I’m currently responsible for overseeing all our corporate and B2B PR activity in the UK & Ireland.

I come from a family of journalists and before turning over to this side of the tracks, I was journalist too, contributing to numerous publications on a variety of subjects over the years. I still like to keep my hand in as a writer, when I can find the time.

Delivering constructive and clear communications between organisations and the media is a passion. I’m convinced that building amicable and valuable relationships between the corporate world and the media is not only beneficial for both sides, but also for the audiences and customers that we all serve.
