Case study: Getting back to growth

Jo heads up the media team which includes crisis, brand PR, expansion campaigning and the filming of the airport’s long running documentary. Jo started her career at HBOS prior to the hostile takeover and during her time in financial services, was part of the response team to issues such as PPI, LIBOR fixing and catastrophic flooding which impacted the insurance arm of the business. Staying in financial services, Jo also helped set strategy and establish teams at Confused.com and Quidco.com. Returning to corporate six years ago, when she took responsibility for running McDonald’s Press Office, Jo landed her biggest role at Heathrow three years ago and at the height of the expansion campaign. This has subsequently gone on to secure overwhelming parliamentary support and seen her team named as In-house Team of the Year at PR Week awards in 2019.
